Affiliates?

Today we received an offer from a prospective young affiliate who hopes to model some of our wares and promote our store. This opens not only new doors and dimensions but many questions: should we start an affiliate program?

If so, which new steps should we take to better the experience and hopefully our reputation? Which new precautions should we rely on to prevent usury?

Maybe there isn't a way to remain totally safe from scammers and reap promotional rewards but the benefits exceed the risk and we will want to encourage these new offers in the future.
